The lifting structure of a house does not require maintenance
The lift structure is long term protected since the moment of construction. All the front veneering of the wood structure houses are assembled as “a double protection" and their possible degradation (if maintenance is very belated) doesn’t reach the lift structure, because they are separated by an air protective coating which ensures ventilation and protection against humidity.
Wood veneering is excellent
No maintenance is necessary when the sun gives the wood its noblesse. This thin layer of patina protects the wood which remains perfectly healthy. Its antique silver-like aspect seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment; with shades ranging from black, silver gray and maroon, depending on the climate, altitude and used species, its aspect evens out after a few years. However, we can easily restore the wood's original colour either by applying with the paint brush various cleaning products or by using high-pressure water jets that erodes surface micro-organisms. Other interventions are clearly futile. If you prefer coloured wood, lacquers have a remarkable effect. Maintaining wood surfaces only require approximately 2 days' work every 5-7 years, much less than renovating a classic building; and if regularly maintained, the coating removal is quite useless, since lacquered products disintegrate as a powder and doesn't peel off.
