For over 25 years, Dorna Eco House has been a manufacturer of custom timber structures. From the very first idea, from the initial desire to having a completed home, a homeowner’s journey is long and sometimes challenging. We walk part of this journey together, with care, involvement, and above all flexibility, so that we can optimize parameters, simplify the process, and efficiently shorten the different stages.
What exactly do we do? How can we contribute to a project?
1. Timber structure design
Based on architectural plans, or on a jointly defined and detailed concept, our team can develop the structural design of the timber superstructure. This is the first stage where we can actively contribute to the project, beyond estimates, advice, and optimization analyses.
2. Timber structure kit
Continuing with production, the first possible delivery stage is the KIT – meaning the timber frame of the house, dimensioned, calculated, treated, anchored with CE-certified Rothoblaas connectors, and sheathed on one side of each element with DWD Agepan on the exterior and OSB on interior walls and the ceiling above the ground floor..
3. Insulated timber structure kit
The next possible delivery stage is the insulated structure kit, which includes insulation, foils, membranes, and all the necessary materials and accessories required to ensure airtightness.
4. Exterior joinery
Once the structure is assembled, the installation of exterior windows and doors becomes necessary. This stage can be included in Dorna Eco House’s scope of work or can be carried out by the client with another supplier.
5. Exterior insulation and façade finishes
After the installation of the structure and exterior joinery, façade insulation can be carried out using basalt wool. In cases where the structure is factory-sheathed with high-density wood fiber boards, the façade stage is significantly shortened. The façade finish can be either mineral or a ventilated façade system
6. Weitere Holzelemente
Depending on the project, we can also include additional architectural wooden elements in our offer, such as terraces, decks, pergolas, or garden houses.As for interior finishes and joinery elements, if they involve wood (panels and cladding), stairs, or railings, we can also provide them.
From design to delivery and assembly, the Dorna Eco House team can be involved in everything related to timber, insulation, and airtightness.
The works related to screeds, installations, flooring, drywall, tiles, and ceramics are complementary to our scope and we recommend that they be carried out by specialists in those fields. These trades do not require
